****************2018***************
Greetings All!
Our August meeting will be held Saturday, August 18th in New Braunfels beginning at 10 AM. The reason for this change is that three of us will be coming back from National Convention and will be able to share what we learned regarding the changes for Canyon Lake Area Blue Star Mothers.
Because the meeting date has changed, we will NOT be meeting at the Community Center.
Marlena Schlather has graciously arranged for us to meet at the "Island" in New Braunfels. We have attached a map to the location. Marlena has also offered to meet at her home no later than 9:30 and you can follow her to the "Island". Her address is 155 Kerlick Lane, New Braunfels, Texas 78130.
This is an important meeting to attend, as we will be voting in our new officers and, as previously mentioned, talking about upcoming changes to our chapter.
Our slate of officers is:
President: Reggie Brooks
Vice President: Mary Harrison
Financial Secretary: Kathleen Fowl
Treasurer: Patricia Page
Recording Secretary: Patricia Page
We will also be packing boxes there, so please bring what you have to contribute to our August boxes. Our theme is Breakfast. We are still sending a second box to each of the troops on our list, so will be packing one with protein snacks as well.
Since the first Saturday in September is Labor Day Weekend, we will have our September meeting on Saturday the 8th at 10 AM in Canyon Lake. The theme for our September boxes is hygiene.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you all the 18th.
Blessings!

Can we really be talking about a February meeting already? How does time go by so quickly!

November / December Activities
29 Nov 2017 - Greetings All!
Our December meeting will be this Saturday, Dec. 2nd, 10 AM at the Westside Community Center in New Braunfels. We will be packing our December boxes of homemade goodies and Christmas stockings. Just a reminder that we decided several months ago that we wouldn't send cookies this year (due to the fact that they arrived as crumbs) but rather cookie bars and breads. We have a count of 6 boxes, but will be sending two boxes per troop since our count is so low - more to share!
This Saturday is also our pot-luck lunch, so bring food to share and your family.
See you Saturday!
Blessings!

Greetings All!
Our November meeting will be held this Saturday, Nov. 4th, 10 AM at Saint Andrews Lutheran Church in Startzville.
Unfortunately, we have many conflicts with this date among our members and it will be a very small meeting. If you are available and could help come pack the pies into boxes and get them ready to mail, that would really be appreciated.
Attached please find out October Minutes and Financial Reports. As we will not have a business meeting this month, we will be voting on these minutes in Dec.
Our December meeting will be held Saturday, Dec 2nd, 10 AM, at the Westside Community Center in New Braunfels.
This is the meeting that we pack our Christmas Boxes filled with homemade goodies for our deployed troops. This year we for decided not to send cookies as they seem to crumble in shipment leaving just a pile of crumbs. So, please plan on baking cookie bars, brownies, breads, etc. that should arrive in better condition. If you do not bake, any store bought goodie, cider or hot choc packets or candy will be appreciated.
We will have our annual "pitch-in" after the meeting, so please plan on joining us and bring a dish or two to share. Please let me know if you plan to attend so we have an idea of numbers. This is open to all family members and guests.
Hope to see you there!
Blessings!
