Good afternoon!
I hope you are having a lovely day today! My name is Mickey Sweet, a Peer Leader and Recovery Coach with the Peer-to-Peer Recovery Partnership at San Antonio Fighting Back, Inc. SAFB, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists the San Antonio community to address issues such as substance abuse, alcoholism, recidivism, HIV prevention, recovery, and other areas that affect our citizens.
Attached to this message is a flier with information about VetChange, a free online program targeting Active Duty members and Veterans, especially those who were deployed to Iraq and/or Afghanistan. As this quote from the website states:
“VetChange is a free, confidential online program to help Active Duty members and Veterans take control of their drinking and learn to manage PTSD symptoms without using alcohol. Work at your own pace. Build skills to better manage your drinking. Tackle anger, stress and sleep problems – challenges many Veterans face after deployment.”
The program is easy and simple to use. You are able to set up your own personal account. You have the ability to track how much you drink, both daily and weekly. You are able to make Action Plans that can assist you in addressing issues of drinking, PTSD, sleep, stress, anger, and more.
We would like to provide a webinar presentation on how VetChange can help your constituents. Upon request, the information session can be presented by Mr. Willie Mitchell, Executive Director of SAFB, Inc. Please contact us so that we can schedule a date and time to further discuss the program in detail. Once again, thank you and have a great day!
